Gedankenmacher: Hände weg von den Renten!

Die Ampelregierung braucht dringend Geld. Es gibt Stimmen, die die Rentenkasse plündern wollen. Das würde unsere Demokratie ins Wanken bringen.

Sie ist still geworden. Die AfD scheint abgetaucht. Dabei bietet die Ampelregierung wahrlich genug Kritik-Fläche. Nur – die Bürger verstehen das Dilemma der rot-grün-gelben Regierung auch ohne ätzende Oppositions-Parolen.

Die Ampelregierung wollte mit Biegen und Brechen ihre Projekte durchsetzen, obwohl dafür zum Teil die technischen und jedenfalls die finanziellen Grundlagen fehlen. Die Regierung von Olaf Scholz ging dafür bis zum Verfassungsbruch und steht nun nach zwei Jahren vor einem Scherbenhaufen. Es geht jetzt gar nicht mehr um große Zukunfts-Visionen, es geht nur noch um das nackte Überleben. Dies gilt für die Minister, mehr noch für die Wirtschaft und die Bürger.

Nun soll es ein Nachtrags-Haushalt richten und vielleicht die Erklärung, dass Deutschland sich in einer Notlage befindet. Letzteres stimmt zwar, nur ist daran die Regierung schuld und nicht ihre Vorgänger, der Ukraine-Krieg oder der Überfall der Hamas auf Israel, wie uns Ricarda Lang in einem Interview im Deutschlandfunk erklären wollte. Anders wäre wohl kaum zu verstehen, warum nur Deutschland so schlecht dasteht, nicht aber Frankreich, die Niederlande, Italien, Japan oder die USA.

Wo soll jetzt also das benötigte Geld herkommen? Die Wirtschaftsberaterin der Ampelregierung, Veronika Grimm, hat schon mal einen Versuchsballon steigen lassen. Sie schlägt u.a. die Abschaffung der Mütterrente vor und will künftige Rentensteigerungen kürzen. Ersteres wäre ein Schlag ins Gesicht der Frauen, die sich für die Familie und gegen die eigene Karriere entscheiden und dafür oft in der Altersarmut landen. Ihre – unbezahlte – Sorgearbeit wird sowieso nicht ausreichend gewürdigt, Kita-Plätze sind nicht genügend vorhanden, das Kita-Personal fehlt. Wohin also mit den Kindern? Der zweite Grimm-Vorschlag, Rentensteigerungen zu kürzen hätte gleich zwei dramatische Folgen: 1. würden noch mehr Rentner – nicht Pensionäre – in die Altersarmut rutschen und dann die staatliche Wohlfahrtsleistung Grundrente beziehen. Auch die muss ja irgendwie finanziert werden – ein Teufelskreis! Und 2. würde das Vertrauern in das System der gesetzlichen Rente nicht nur bei der jüngeren Generation, sondern auch bei der älteren Generation geschädigt. Das würde katastrophale Folgen nicht nur die Demografie, sondern auch für die Demokratie nach sich ziehen.

Wie man überhaupt auf die Idee kommen kann, Menschen, die ein Berufsleben lang gearbeitet und die Sozialsysteme finanziert haben, die versprochenen Leistungen zu kürzen, versteht wahrscheinlich nur, wer verbohrter Ideologe oder entrückter Wissenschaftler ist.

Schon längst hätte es eine große und grundsätzliche Reform der gesetzlichen Rente geben müssen. Gesellschaftliche und politische Diskussionen darüber hat die SPD, hat Olaf Scholz persönlich, immer verhindert. Zu groß war und ist die Angst, dass nicht nur die Wahlbürger verunsichert werden könnten. Nein, die Angst vor Sozialbetonköpfen und Alt-Gewerkschaftern lassen Reform-Ideen erst gar nicht aufkommen. So wird eine pragmatische und funktionierende Lösung seit Jahren verschoben – bis eben nichts mehr geht. Vielleicht ist jetzt dieser Zeitpunkt des „rien ne va plus!“ gekommen.

Eine einseitige Lösung des Geld-Problems der Ampelregierung auf dem Rücken der Rentner hätte das Potential zum Volksaufstand. Die Koalitions-Partner müssten vielmehr einen breiteren Ansatz wählen und den Staat sowie den Bundes-Haushalt grundsanieren. Dafür fehlt Olaf Scholz, Robert Habeck und auch Christian Lindner ganz offensichtlich der Mut und vermutlich auch die Kraft.

In einer Umfrage des Meinungsforschungsinstitutes Civey, über die der Focus berichtet, erklären 64 Prozent der Befragten, dass sie nach dem Finanz-Desaster weniger Vertrauen in die Regierung haben. 48 Prozent der Menschen halten ein Auseinanderbrechen der Koalition für wahrscheinlich. 39 Prozent halten eine Auflösung hingegen für unwahrscheinlich. 49 Prozent der Befragten würden es positiv bewerten, wenn die Ampelregierung aufgelöst würde und die SPD in einer großen Koalition mit der Union auf Bundesebene regieren würde. 36 Prozent würden dies negativ bewerten.

Die mut- und kraftlose Bundesregierung ist am Ende. Sie sollte sich zu einer allerletzten Kraftanstrengung aufraffen und zurücktreten.

Die AfD freut sich so oder so. Ihre Umfragewerte steigen jede Woche. Bis zur Unregierbarkeit unseres Landes. Daran sind weder die Vorgängerregierungen noch der Ukrainekrieg und schon gar nicht der Hamas-Terror gegen Israel schuld.
