Die Bundestagsfraktion der Partei Die Linke hat beschlossen sich aufzulösen, nachdem Sahra Wagenknecht und ihre Gefolgsleute die Partei verlassen haben. Damit dürfte Die Linke als Nachfolge-Partei der SED und PDS 34 Jahre nach dem Mauerfall endgültig ins politische Nirwana abtauchen. Fast makaber mutet an, welche Partei – jedenfalls in den Neuen Ländern – ihre Nachfolge antreten wird – die AfD. Die abgewirtschaftete Linke fungiert als Steigbügelhalter für die Rechten.

Jan Peter Luther ist Journalist in Berlin. Als Redakteur war er für verschiedene und unterschiedliche Formate bei der ARD und bei n-tv tätig. Seit 2006 war Luther auf Landes- vor allem aber auf Bundes-Ebene in verschiedenen Funktionen für die CDU tätig. Zuletzt war er Bundesgeschäftsführer der Senioren-Union. Seit Frühjahr 2020 ist Jan Peter Luther in der Unternehmenskommunikation der HSH GmbH tätig.

In DNEWS24TV hat Jan Peter Luther einen regelmäßigen TV-Podcast „Luther – hier stehe ich!“.
